Painting Walls, Cleaning Trash

Man, I stand by the idea that there's a game for most everyone, and I've dealt with a few of these simulator games in the past that just reminded me I am not the target audience for them. Clearly there is someone out there who had a deep love for the kind of monotony this game can present, but I assure you, it is not me. The premise of this game starts with you doing odd jobs for other people, painting, cleaning, installing new appliances and more. This is how it will teach you the basics of what you will need to do to eventually graduate to buying your own dilapidated property to fully get that big money when you flip it! This action-packed game will have you begging for more, and it has it in spades!

The most action packed game of 2020

I don’t know if you have ever painted an entire room with a paint roller, but if you haven't, you are missing out on one of the most adrenaline pumping experiences you could ever live. Watch as House Flipper recreates the monotony of real life as you purchase buckets of paint, fill your paint roller, and painstakingly paint the room section by section. Not one to forget its roots, House Flipper has you refilling your paint often, keeping the game firmly in reality as you wonder to yourself, is this worth it? Should I have quit my office job to chase this dream? House Flipper has you asking yourself these kinds of introspective questions on the regular, and when is the last time you had that happen?

All the excitement and wonder that installing appliances can bring.

It doesn’t stop there folks. You can paint, you can clean the floor, clean the windows, and if you have ever wanted to install a radiator or a sink, then my friend, you are in the right place. Installing appliances is another action packed collection of quick time events, as you attach pipes, screw things in, and add fasteners to radiators and sinks. Knock down walls, add furniture, and more in your endless quest for do$h, as you do jobs for people and build the capital to do your own big flip on a destitute home, to transform it into a house someone would love to live in!

The Whole Package

Alright guys, I don’t know if you could tell, but I’m trying real hard to make this game sound interesting… and it's not. It's tedious, it's ugly to look at, and it's horribly repetitive. Pretty much the only thing to really make this a little bit less tedious is the fact you do indeed have some skills to improve. Instead of painting one spot, you can do two, or refill your paint quicker! Most of these are just “do this 25% faster” or something similar, but a few did have a bigger impact on my gameplay experience, and I will give it to them, making some of the tasks much more bearable. It doesn’t help that the little music it has is forgettable, and the sound effects sound pretty stock and boring. Ugly textures and an unintuitive UI mar the experience even for the most hardcore of house flippers (looking at you EJ!), making a wholly “meh” experience. There is a very strange occasional sense of accomplishment when you finish a room, or take an absolute mess of a house and make it look livable, but it's not enough to make this a good game.

Score: 4/10
